Here is some practical information about the event, the venue and technical requirements for you as a speaker. Please read carefully.

For the third time Radiodays Europe is organising the PODCAST DAY by RDE. It is a not- to-be-missed event for anyone working at a public service or a commercial radio stations, in management or production, for independent podcast producers, for platform and technical providers, vendors, media buyers, research and metrics professionals etc. With a top class line-up of international speakers, PODCAST DAY by RDE offers sessions, presentations and panel discussions on best practices, content creation, storytelling, platforms, strategies, benefits, monetization and business models, audiences and measurement.

Programme and format

Registration and badge collection open from 8.15am.

Please arrive for your presentation 1 hour before presentation time. If you are in the Opening sessions before the morning coffee please arrive at 7.30am.

There will be one track in the morning and two tracks in the afternoon with a mix of presentations and panel discussions, the event starts at 9.00 until 17.00 on 13th of June.

Venue

Address: Kings Place 90 York Way, London

The venue is 150 metres from Kings Cross and Kings Cross St. Pancras train stations. You will find Kings Cross behind Kings Cross train station. The venue for the event is a landmark in London. Built in 2008.The main conference Hall 1, Track 1, has a capacity of 400 pax. The afternoon only Track 2 room St. Pancras has a capacity of 100 pax.

Hotel

Address: Point A Hotel, 324 Grays Inn Road, London

The Hotel is 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross/St. Pancras train station and 15 minutes walk from King Place. Please do not take a taxi as the hotel is extremely close to the station, Radiodays Euorpe will not cover the cost of a taxi this short distance.

Technical Information

Technical information about your presentation The screen format is 16:9.

If you have videos or audio clips, please embed them in your presentation. Power Point or Keynote are ok, but we do not accept cloud based presentations.

There will not be any computers on stage. AV-technicians will start your presentation when entering the stage. On stage you will find head mic or handheld mic, clock and a comfort screen to

show you what ́s on the main screen. Your presentation will already be uploaded on the computer,to ensure an easy start. You CANNOT use your private computer.

On arrival you will be shown to the back stage area. Please be backstage well in advance of your show time on stage. If you do not know where to go please ask a member of staff on the registration desk or any person wearing a Radiodays Europe t-shirt.

There is a holding slide with your name and the title of your presentation when you enter the stage, you don ́t need to have that on your own presentation.

On stage you will be introduced by one of our hosts of the day, Martin Liss (Germany) or the UK host. There will be handheld microphones in the room for Q&As from the audience at the end.

Keep track of time: Please note that we cannot run over time, it is a tight schedule for the day.

Since this is a fast paced day, we need to have your presentation in advance to prepare for everything to work smoothly on the day. Please send your presentation by email or WeTransfer no later than Friday 7th of June at noon CET. Please also bring your presentation to the venue on usb- stick as back up.

Use of your image, audio & recording of your session permissions

We will use you image and record audio and video of your session for use in our marketing unless you DO NOT permit us to do this, please email: peter@radiodayseurope.com + rosie@radiodayseurope.com if you DO NOT wish your image, audio and video to be used by us. We use all content in line with are GDPR policy which can be found on our website.

Podcast Producer and delegate Meet up

Wednesday 12th of june 17.00 - 18.00 - PodNetting - Speed dating for podcasters and all those who want to be in podcasting or meet podcasters! - Venue TBC

Live Podcast Recording

There will be a live podcast show in the historic BBC Radio Theatre in the evening at 19.00 pm on Wednesday 12th June. “30 Animals That Made Us Smarter”. It is free for all delegates of PODCAST DAY by Radiodays Europe. A link will be sent to you which will allow you to sign up for this event.

Networking Drinks

Details of a pub or bar will be sent to you for those who prefer to go for drinks only on the evening of 12th June to network with other participants. As in previous years this is an informal drinks and networking and we ask politely that all participants buy their own drinks or if you are feeling generous bring enough for a round.
